Thats pretty cool how the guys at texas speed lendend out a set of heads for real world testing and not dyno#s bull. They must be pretty confident about their products.

Maybe we will find out next weekend after they get sometime to get the heads on and do some tuning to the carb.

Well, I guess I'll tell the results...I don't have the timeslips or exact numbers, but they should be very close!

Before, as posted above was a 10.80 with the GM heads. By swapping to our CNC'd L92 heads the car went about 10.50 in the 1/4! Again, I don't have the exact ET's, but it was a little over 2/10th's from what I was told.

The car now has a 440ci in it, but will be running our L92 for the time being. They said they're shooting for mid-high 9's NA, and high 7's on the bottle

Default Results!

Here you guys go! With stock 6.0 short block and the only changes being the TSP L92 CNC'D heads with Manley valves and TSP springs. Short block is a LQ9 with the TSP 233/239 cam, pacesetter headers, 850 holley, stock rockers.

60ft 1.49
330ft 4.33
1/8et 6.72
1/8mph 102.53
1000ft 8.79
1/4ET 10.56
1/4MPH 127.37

Thanks to Matt and all the guys at Texas Speed for there help. These guys are the real deal and with a bigger carb and a set of there 1 7/8 headers I am sure this car is a 10.30 car. We have pulled that motor out for the next few weeks to try a combo with a LSX and spray for Pinks All Out in St. Louis. But with that 6.0 combo and the price to put it together it can't be beat!

Hey Matt, I had the 233/239/113 cam in my H/C 99 SS but do you have something (close in power) that will idle a tad better in my A6 C6? Any suggestions? I dont see any L92 specific cams on the site. Jason said he had the 228R but Im thinking a hair bigger. He made 460rwhp through the A6 with it Im told.

These are the heads Im going with for sure. 2 thenths when you are already running high 10's. Nice.

Great results my friends! Glad to see they did what we expected them to do for you. Haven't you been reading the other l92 threads? Didnt someone tell you by looking at the pics of other peoples heads that that head can't make that kind of power gains??

congrats on the times. we just got done with a simular motor build. we are at 3220 r/w and alittle boost(10lbs) its been 5.80's in the 1/8th. those stock shortblocks are pretty tough. and we also are running some TSP valve train parts.

WKMCD-the l76 Intake can't be that bad. I ran 10.86@128.2 in a 3,700lbs m6car on a 1.5260foot. Yes he ended up faster but he's 3,300lbs. I have a stick and I never bang the gears I lift off the gas every shift.
BURGERS-congrats nice job. Impressive mph for an auto.
Was the TSP 233/239 cam made for the L92 heads? Or is it an ls1 design

It was designed and marketed before the L92 heads came around...but happens to work very well with the L92 heads due to its split duration.

Am I the only one that thinks these times are yawn. I saw this car run this weekend. It now has a lsx block with god knows what for cubes.Broke the 6.0l Did not tell that one. 2 tenths with the high $ cnc heads With what I saw, 2 tenths could of been found with the tune alone on that car FAR from low $. Look at the MPH? I have seen stock LS1's with spray only in 3700lbs car go well beyond that! In a street car, not a back halved race car, on a trans brake.
