Default Forged my LS1 or 402

I am putting on the Gen TTR kit from ls1turbo.com.au on my stock bottom end LS1 GTO this month. We are going to tune it to 600rwhp for the time being or until the stock bottom end lets go. My question is from there should I build a Forged 402 or just forge my ls1? I don't think I will ever want to go into the 900+ range and believe I will rest somewhere between 750-800rwhp.

Why not spend a bit more and get a 402, plus you can still keep your old LS1 that way

The issue I was discussing with my installer/ tuner is that on a GTO it is nearly impossible to put that much power to the groud without doing mini tubs, solid rear axle, full suspension.

go wi8th the 402 you can make more power with less boost,easier on engine parts

I saw in your sig 402 short blocks for 3550, how much more to handle 900rwhp?

if actually run the on for 3550 to 925rwhp,but i would reccomend upgrading pistons rings and rod bolts,that would put you at 3850.00,let me know if your interested in something

I will be running 317 worked heads and was told I would need a deep dish piston 28cc?

a 28cc piston would give you 8-1 comp or so with a 317 head,kinda low,i shoot for 9.0-1 comp on turbo stuff,thats a 15cc dish with a 72cc head

I guess those pistons were quoted with prc stage IIIs. Don't remember now.
