patrick g specs were around a .585 lift. its all good those l92 heads dont like alot of overlap. it was a good idea putting that hotcam in there, perfect for my tbss, 50 hp/ 50 tq.

I'm not a big cam analysis guy, and was wondering what people think of the numbers GMPP is putting out for the 376/480.
The LS3 cam specs are intake - 0.551" @ 204, exhaust - 0.525 @ 211.
The Hot Cam specs are intake - 0.525 @ 219, exhaust - 0.525 @ 228.
That doesn't seem like enough of a difference in cams to account for 50 hp. Is (guesstimating the reduction for the higher lift in the LS3 cam) 12 degrees of duration on the intake side and 17 on the exhaust really worth 50 hp?
