I've looked at going that same route with that cam,but a 408 is not much more $$ so decide to go that route..I know I can get more rwhp with higher end heads but how much more?

I agree with you and I will have to make the same decision one day..

What it will come down to with me is will I be satisfied with "only" 475rwhp out of a 383 or will it be worth the extra $$$ for more displacement and better heads to pick up an easy 40-50hp.

475 in an A4 is fast...But I'll always be wondering what it would do in 408...Ive seen one guy here with a 396 making good power in an a4..I believe his name is berryws6..He put down almost 500rwhp in an A4,but I here that those 393/396 are not very reliable and that you better trust your engine builder..Not too many of the vendors sell them..The only one is Canadian performance but its some $$..Cheaper to do the 408..

I wonder if TSP does 396 strokers and how much it will be,and if it will much my heads better and make good power
