You need to know what those peices are... something has been damaged, or maybe not? Maybe they were left over from a dirty assembly? Hard to say what they are or how they got there but I would like to know if it was me. Peice of spring maybe?
Is it aluminum or steel? How is the oil pressure?
On the flip side how many of those little peices get flushed away by people everyday and they know nothing about it and nothing ever happens?
Thats no help..LOL but I'd call the builder and show him the photos and get his opinion.

I change my oil frequently and usually find slime and whiskers on the drain-plug magnet. The attached image is typical. I used to worry but not enough for a teardown. I only drag race but my engine touches 7000 rpm every run. There is no indication that it is getting worse.

Thank you all for your responses.
I have decided not to drive the car anymore until the problem gets resolved.
We will get to the bottom of it (no pun intended)
Better to be safe than sorry.
