Default milling l92 heads .030?

On a stock lq9 w/226/232 .604/.609 (with stock head gaskets)lwhat would be the hp/tq gain? Would there be any ptv issues? dynoed 383/346 a few weeks ago with stock l92 heads. What would the cr be?

you will have a tight clearance on the intake valve

with a similar setup we had around .040" clearance

would I gain enough power to justify having it done? What about porting the heads also?

The reason is, that the motor has to come out due to a loss in compression in one of the cylinders. Its an lq4 now and want to replace the cast dished pistons with flat top forged pistons and mill the heads to lower the cc's . So what would be best ? flat tops with .030 milled l92's, flat tops without milling l92's or dished and milling l92's?

I would do that and go with a flat top piston that has L92 reliefs, Mahle, Diamond, Wiseco etc. and mill the heads .030"

2cc pistons should be all you need.
