Default LS2 reluctor ring question

Can anyone tell me if a 2005 and 2006 ls2's have the same reluctor? I've bought a 2005 GTO theft recovery with no drivetrain. I have another wrecked 2006 GTO with the drivetrain. I need to know if the engines are interchangeable.

They have the same p/n for a crank sensor, so it should work.

in australia- early ls2 engines got 24 teeth and some late ones i have seen got a 58 teeth like the l76/l92 in stardard form

i dont know when it changed but i get the feeling it was series 2 2006 onwards that started having 58

so have a look as the car u got came from us (australia)

u would also be able to tell by the colour of the plug on the crank sensor

Thanks

Nick--
