6.0 Build?

6.0 Build? So I've been thinking, and my plan was this winter, Cam & headers install and be done with it.....but the more I think of it the faster I wanna go, so here's what I need help with.
I'm thinking about taking my motor out, and building a 6.0 Iron block.
BUT is the 6.0 a Gen 3 or Gen 4? Same crack as the LS1? Can I reuse my LS6 Intake? Same Stroke as an LS1?
I wanna try to do this as cheap as possible, maybe run 11.5:1 compression... (IF it will run on pump gas)
I could start building a motor now, and have it done and in the car way before next spring come's around if I start on her soon. Also if say I blow that motor up I have a stock one I can drop right in with no problem's.

The ls1 crank can be used i have one in my 6.0 just transfer everything over it is all interchangeable. only real diff is the bore 4.000 so use your stock crank and get some pistons and rods.
as said above all of your ls1 components will swap right to the 6.0,one thing that needs done is the alt bolt hole needs to be drilled and tapped in the frt of the 6.0 block
The good thing about the 6.0 is the extra cubes and the ability to use the L92 set ups also If you only do a 6.0 build at first you can always go bigger or use it to build a 370 for boost.
