l92 head swap piston to valve clearence issue

Default l92 head swap piston to valve clearence issue
what am i missing,cartek 2x cam installed in ls2 swapping heads to l92 and am only getting 45/1000 ptv clearence on intake,heads not milled,cam is only 596 lift ,is not advanced or retarded,am i???

There is more to it than max lift when issues like PTV pop up. The piston is not at TDC when PTV is closest. Duration and LSA are factors as well.
Flat top pistons on your LS2?

Chances are good if you are using 45/1000 instead of expressing it as .045" you're not measuring correctly.

What is the intake duration, and ICL? Those are the two most important factors in PTV clearance.
Also, how are you checking it? Please be very descriptive.

Flat top pistons on your LS2?
The L92 chambers are so big you need a flat top for compression.
