What is the LSA? But I would reconsider that cam for something a bit smaller.

If you are going to use that cam then do not use L92 heads l92s like a smaller duration cam so you need to be looking at a set of trick flow or afr heads if you are set on that cam

hope this helps,
cheers dave

I wouldn't use the texas giant.

I and a couple other people on this forum have used it and not had the best results. Dont get me wrong, it's a a good cam, but only if you're running 12.5:1 SCR or higher.

Other then that this cam will not make the same power that other cams similar to it's size. This is TSP flagship Big cube cam.

If I were you have Patrick, predator or someone who does it a lot spec you out a cam. Whenever you deal with a sponsor, you're gonna end up with an "off the shelf" type cam.

This cam should work with your setup though with valve reliefs. Your engine builder will know for sure.

and FWIW, the texas giant cam from TSP has been around way longer then l92 heads with the same specs. This cam couldn't have been made for l92 heads for that reason. As I said, it's pretty much their only off the shefl Big cube cam they recommend to everyone.

LG G6X3
23x/24x .6xx/.6xx with a 113 LSA (somewhere in that ball park).

Alot of 402 (LS2 block with 4.0 stroke crank) users have liked that cam along with a set of good L92 heads with the L76/LS3 manifold setup.

There was a post up a week or two ago where someone went from a large cam 24x/25x cam in there 402 down to the G6x3 and found the midrange to have increased and the upper end to have stayed within 5 to 10hp of the larger cam.

The Texas Giant was designed for the LS1/LS6 style heads and if you put that cam into a 402 put the appropriate top end on to go with it (like ET or AFR heads and a fast 90 manifold).
