Default how are ls2 internals

Are ls2 internals forged if so how much power can they handle/rpms can you rev them to safely??

Also are ls1 internals compatible with the ls2 if I were to buy an iron block would my stock ls1 crank work and then just buy forged rods/pistons or should I just go all out and do a 408 stroker with my dart 250s

I would say 550 or so hp would be the limit and maybe 6500 rpm to be safe for the rods at least. but then again people have ran the stock parts way past that.

ls1 parts are compatible if it is a diff. block. The pistons are smaller diam. than the ls2 pistons. but if your going to buy forged rotating assembly then your good. the ls1 and ls2 use a different reluctor wheel that is all. just make sure you have the right sensors and you will be good.
