Default L92/LS3 based 427's...anyone having issues?

My girlfriend needs a new motor for her Z/28 and I was wondering if anyone was having any issues with the L92/LS3 based 427's. I know over squared engines are generally preferred over under square, but the cost of the crank is the same for the longer stroke, so I told her I would check it out.

Any info would be appreciated.

If built correctly there shouldn't be an issue. We don't recommend them for a power add application though

Duane, my LS3 (L92 headed) 427 is running great. Have a few cooling issues to work out but man is this thing fun to drive!
