You can swap the pan and pickup.
You will also need to have the correct crank trigger put on the LS3.
The LS3 comes with a x58 crank timing gear. The LS2 GTO's (05 & 06) have the x24 crank timing gear found on the LS1's.
So replace the crank timing gear, swap the oil pan, and drop it in.... Oh and do a engine relearn on the computer or the car won't crank up.
Oh and since the LS3 is going to be out of the vehicle for the pan and gear swap, get the heads ported and get a bigger cam
