Default LQ4 build Suggestions

hey everyone, im lookin for some ideas, ive got a 2005 lq4 that im about to rebuild and put in an f body, ive got about $2500 for internals, and im trying to figure out what i wanna do with it, ive got two ideas right now, either all forged stroker (408) or a destroked (4.8 crank) that will rev high.
has anyone done a destroked motor like that? the only one i know of is a twin turbo drag car that runs like 6 something, i think its W2Ws car.
what are some good stroker cams available, all ive saw is the texas giant, any other good ones?
any other build ideas?
thanks for any help
Mark

edit: btw when i said internals, i ment just pistons, rods, rings, and crank. cam, heads ect is on another budget

Your best bet would be to call manufacturers directly to get some ideas. I'd look at Scoggin Dickey's website as well. I'm surprised some engine builders or shop owners haven't chimed in by now.

Where are you located? I'm sure you could find an LSx shop nearby that would help you out.

382 is your option and destroking doesnt make it more powerful. Cubic inches is your friend if you want to make power

We've got pistons that will work very well with your 4.1" crankshaft! Have you already purchased the crank or are you in the market for it? We have rotating assemblies that include the 4.1" crank available with some nice package discounts to save you money too!

Let us know if we can help! We keep most all of this type of stuff in stock and can typically ship same day, or in just a few days if you want us to balance the rotating assembly prior to shipping!

i know destroking isnt going to increase in power, i was kinda thinking about something that revved harder, but i have ruled that out. how is 382 my option?
bore is 4.030, stroke may be 4.1
(2.015^2)x3.14=12.75 - area of one piston
12.75x4.1 = 52.275 - volume of a cylinder
52.275x8 = 418.2 - volume of engine
of course its not perfect but its close

i know how to build an engine, i was just looking for some ideas of something that hasnt really been tried. i think im gonna go with the stroker though, cant really beat the sound of a big nasty stroked v8

sorry having typing issue here on this laptop as well as loading issues...lol (the 382 was a mistype)

We have a 418 or the 403 but we dont recommend n2o or boost with the 4.100 crank.

4.030-4.060, we like to go with the 4.030, if you start getting into odd piston sizes then your costs go up. With the 4.1 the 418 would be stout, but not power add friendly.
