I Own A 2005 Gto Ls2 I Bought From A Auction With Water Damage. It Appears To Have Been Drove Into A Puddle And Broke 2 Rods And Bent Another. It Sent A Small Peice Of The Rod Into The Block Right At The Oil Jonural So I Took It To A Guy That Fixs Blocks Did A Nice Job No Blockage No Leaks. The Problem Im Having Though Is It Keeps Breaking The Oil Pump And Busting The Lower Timing Chain Gear I Dont Recall Anything Speacial To Putting It Back Together I Wander If I Am Just Missing Something I Checked The Crank For Strightness It Is All In Line. Thanks For Any Input On This Issue.

Did you completely disasemble the engine? Did you have the block and main webs checked for cracks? If the crankshaft is straight (you said it was) there has to be movement causing those components to break.
