BADDEST 408 short/longblock?
Who makes it? I know there are a lot of you out there that have gotten them from a lot of different places, and I want to know your feedback. (Would like to stick with sponsors if possible)

Here's a build one of our customer's is doing in his Silverado, but without a healthy nitrous shot instead of boost. He's got our 408 long-block with PRC Stage 3 heads. He should be getting VERY close to having her started up and some numbers now!
Let me know what your goals are and I can draw up a detailed quote for you to look at. We build them from mild to wild for customers on this forum every day!

My signature series of engines is built by HKE (as are all my engines) and is exactly what your looking for. 408 for $4474
We use Callies crank and rods and Wiseco pistons, ACL race main and coated rod bearings, ARP. I'll pm you with some information.
My engines were designed and are built for hi hp applications with boost and n2o.

You are going to do great with most any of the LS1tech sponsors here like TSP or LME and many others. I am here working at 1am like usual and I just can't answer all the calls I get anymore. I do engines for many of the vendors here as well. 99blancoSS has his engines done by us and could help you too.
TSP especially above also has some great deals too with very fast turnaround or even in stock already so if they have something right for you you can get it much quicker. Unfortunately with the backlog of work we have we are always catching up and the hurricane didn't help anything either!
You need to decide what you really want out of your engine and look at your budget and go from there. Also make sure when you are shopping you compare apples to apples as many shops have different options you can add or subract depending on what you need or want. If you want a quote from us you could go through 99blancoSS as you might never reach me on the phone unless it's 3am!

You really can,t wrong with TSP or HKE because they have been around for a long time and have proven themselves many times. GMHTP just had this article this month that could help a little bit. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ide/index.html

go HKE i wouldnt waste my time or oney anywhere else. do it right the first time and never look back! i went through 99blancoss for a very in detailed 408 longblock for a very high n20 hp application and he has been great with all of my questions, and with erik building the motor i know the quality is second to none.
