Default ls2 coil pack on an ls1
Will the ls2 coil pack packs and wires plug and play or are the connectors different on a 98 camaro.

I don't have a reason but I was told that the ls2 coils will not work on my ls1

My coils are still good the harnesses are getting brittle

They will work if you use the ls2 harness with the ls2 coils.The white plug that plugs to your engine harness is the same but the plugs that go into the coils are not.You can make them work function wise. Mounting them may take some creativity.

I have 853 heads with the center bolt valve covers so the ls2 harness with the ls2 coils should bolt right up...

I've used both on my car with no issues, except the brackets for the ls2 coils sit higher on the valve cover.

Thanks, tektrans did they have to retune after you swichted em' , also was there any improvment.Oh I was at cartek last week Roy installed the poly motormounts,2 bad they moved so far away.
