Default Gen IV 6L80 Compatability
I am looking at replacing the gen 3 engine in my TJ with a gen 5 5.3. I know 6L80s can be finnicky regarding the TCM and engine PCM, but in most cases can be flashed to work. I currently have a 6L80 from an 07 Escalade lying around, could the TCM be flashed to be used with a gen 5 5.3 engine and PCM?

Check out the Transmission form down towards the bottom of the forum, some super knowledgeable guts down there.
