Can C7 npp mufflers be used without the actuator installed? I know they won't be able to change modes, but are there any problems with using them with the actuator removed?

 

Isn't the actuator just a butterfly valve??

 

The actuator is what changes the position of the valve. I just wasn't sure what the valve did without the actuator in place. Does it flop around or stay in the position it's in? Does the actuator seal off the valve to keep it from leaking any? Just curious. I am looking at using a pair of these for a project and trying to figure out if buying a pair that have the actuators removed is worthwhile or not.
