Is this a valley breather?

I have both valve covers hooked up to a catch can. Is it necessary to hook up this ???? to the outside air or vacuum? This is a Gen 5 L83, 2015 model. Its the doodad that has the silver bolt in the end for a plug. The electrical plug next to it is not used either. Thanks

that is the pcv valve

to run a pcv system like stock it should be hooked to intake manifold vacuum

pcv powers fumes control and crankcase filtration, popular for regular driver vehicles

if you drive this vehicle often, do not want it to stink, or want full term oil changes out of it, i would hook up
