The guys with the GEN5 Camaro's hate the AFM and are the bulk of my clients. With the Gen5s, its only the automatics that are equipt with it. I wonder if the manuals will have it to.

Guys are having to stay with lower lift on the VVT aftermarket cams, or purchase the conversion package to make them "like" an LS3.

design a better lifter that keeps afm and allows larger cams

According to the article they are new lifters and the lobes on those 4 cylinders are lazier.

I just hope that the aftermarket keeps up with this new Gen and the cam phaser is more robust than the L99 setups.

i hope a DoD lifter can be designed to take at least an X-ER type lobe. just being able to have the same lobe on all cylinders will probably add power/efficiency.
