Can someone provide a reputable source for engine weight?

Is there a link to an actual reputable reference for engine weights? I find tons of "guesses" and suggestions in multiple forums through a Google search but I'm looking for an actual reference....maybe something from GM.

Looking for the weight of an LS2 long block for the most part. I shipped an engine recently and estimated it at 450 lbs and it was just sitting on a wooden pallet. They delivered it at 610 lbs and want to charge me an extra $60 for it. 610 just seems way high to me.

A LS1 weighs 425 or so complete. Your LS2 shouldn't really be no different due to it still being a aluminum engine.
