Default L86 6.2?

Just bought a 2016 Denali with the L86. Wanted to know what's different vs the LT1 other then intake manifold?

Did you ever get info on your L86?

L86 uses a mechanical vacuum pump for power brake to compensate for lower engine vacuum during 4 cylinder function. Other differences are no power steering pumps, intake, programming, oilpan, oil cooler system, and the L86 water pump is designed the same but opposite to the LT1. Hope it is working out with your L86. L86s are less common than the 5.3 L83s. You probably already figured out to search L83 info in LS1TECH, more and more information comes out on the Gen V engines every day.

Good luck.

I would doubt it. (same cam). It might act slightly smaller in the bigger motor.

They're basically identical engines besides the intake. Trucks pick up huge with a c7 intake and I would imagine even more with an MSD
