Well a buddy of mines dad is selling his disassembled 5.3 for $550 with everything but the pistons. Bores are ok it looks like but I'm having a hard time finding new pistons or info on what the max overbore is on these things. TSP has a super deal on head work with cam. I think the price is right for the motor but if I can't get parts yet how long would I need to sit on it?

Well I called tsp and they said they could make some for a what I think is quite reasonable. Only thing is I'd need rods as well to use em.
