Default Superchargers on 2018 1500s with the 5.3

I'm considering a 2018 RCSB 1500 with a 5.3 to use as a weekend warrior/DD. Apparently GM won't build one with a 6.2 in a reg cab so I was thinking a 5.3 with procharger might be a good alternative.

I'm curios what the limits of the 5.3 are, how they hold up etc.

These are strong engines! The 6.2 crank is stronger than the 5.3, the rest of the internals are similar.

We have done a good number of supercharged LT trucks. They end up making real good power and very reliable! Depending on how far you plan to go with it, you may need to upgrade the high pressure fuel pump.

I'd be happy to get you a parts or full install estimate if you'd like.

What kind of WHP numbers are you reliably getting with the 5.3 on stock internals?

With just the blower you'll see around just under 500whp. With head/cam/header you will make higher 500whp, can add methanol injection to get you over 600whp. That would be your safe limits, 600-650whp.

This is a 5.3 we did with other bolt ons and the Whipple system.
