Lt4 or lt5 cam in l83
I agree with ohioborn80. If you're going to invest the cost and effort to swap to a non-AFM setup (which I think is a good ideal) then why not use a better cam than a OEM offering? When you add up all the costs to do a cam swap and AFM delete in a GEN5 LT, trying to save a few $ on the piece that gives you the biggest reward for your investment seems pointless when there are some very good aftermarket cams out there. (Both VVT and non-VVT cams)

The LT5 cam is basically the same specs as LT1 cam minus the AFM lobes...it also has a different fuel lobe. My guess is those with 5.3's are looking for a cheap replacement when performing a AFM delete being you can get the LT5 cam for 189.00 from Scoggin Dickey the last time I checked.
