For the record, the LT5 has been discontinued as an available crate engine from GM. The last few out there is it, if you guys want one. I was told Summit has a few left.

I wonder if it because a limited supply of parts. Save the parts they have for cars

It's discontinued because it's not planned for use in any future cars, was built just for the ZR1 to hold the interest in Corvettes till the C8 came out. The next up C8 exotic engine is a high rev horizontally opposed V8, so I'm pretty certain this is the best we will ever see from GM for a V8.

Summit had 7 at the first of the week, they are down to 6 now. There's a few available at GM Performance dealers too, but not many.

I would agree with this. Electric or hybrid power coming will amaze folks with torque numbers for next 10-20 years, however.
