Valve clean anyone?
I'll take a few pics next week when I'm back in the shop (not my shop- I help a friend at his cylinder head business from time to time).
I'll add my .02: After helping out cleaning valves (with not a small amount of difficulty using a media blaster) from both DI and port injected late model GM engines, I'm having difficulty buying that a spray on / let soak / heat cycle product can be effective over the life of an engine. I can let the valves cycle through the sonic cleaner 2-3 times and still take a minute or more to clean intake valves (the exhausts are worse, obviously).
Great thread- there is much more to learn about the long term GDI effects in play here.
