What about a spec stage 3 clutch? I am trying to get one of the sponsers to get a GP going with them. Hopefully we can get it going, it seems enough people want an upgraded clutch, the spec3 is supposed to be the best street/strip clutch, I believe it's stronger then the LS7 also. So if you guys are interested, the more the better, heres the thread I started, i've already contacted a few sponsers.

I have, there are a lot of people out there who use spec, so of course there are going to be problems, but there are a lot of hapy people out there pushing a lot more power then you and giving there spec clutch more abuse then many, and it's still holding up. I wouldn't say spec is garbage, I am willing to try it, maybe ill get one of the shitty ones, maybe not, well see. Just trying to help some other members out, incase this gp isn't a go.

thats fine, if you have money to try **** out go ahead, i on the other hand dont and 3 of 4 cars i know with specs, old and new, have had or have major issues. yeah i know people that can use that clutch at 600 hp and i know people that it shitted out at 317 rwhp, that doesnt make a ****. if its a bad clutch it doesnt matter what kind of power you make. its just pretty sad when stage 3 clutches arent working for even stock hp cars without slipping. its junk IMO and i wont waste another penny with them people. just trying to help everyone out before they make the same mistake. i know guys that use the ls7 clutch and say its way better than spec and grabs just as hard, if not harder. remember this clutch is for the z06 making ~450 rwhp and its been holding no problems upwards of 500 rwhp.

Thats your opinion, thats great. The people you know, must not know how to drive if they are burning up clutches on stock cars, and if that was the case, and it was the clutches fault, why not go back to spec? Get a new one? The LS7 clutch just came out, I don't know if it will have any bugs to work out or what, im sure it's been tested a lot. How much do these clutches go for? Also, will it just bolt right up? If you don't want to waste your money and get a good clutch, don't look past the textralia clutch, sounds like it's what you really want. Let me know if you guys get this clutch gp going, esp how it works out, I'd be really interested in seeing it perform, might pick one up if the price is right in your gp.

textrilla is way too much money. i can get the entire ls7 system including flywheel for under 500 bucks. i am going back to spec but they have not even gotten back in touch with me and luck in the past shows they do not have good customer service.
we do know how to drive our cars thats not a problem, esp since my stock clutch lasted much much longer and still wasnt even done when i replaced it, just couldnt handle the power. i speak from experience, and the cars i know of. i know many more people with issues. my friend had to replace his disk after a few thousand miles on a stage 4. i see what you are saying but oyu dont even have a spec so i dont see how you can have an opinion of it. and i did waste my money thinking i was getting a good clutch, that was worthless.

You have experience with a bad one, but there are others out there that have good views and experience with them. But I see your point, and I am looking into other clutches, I don't want to take a chance and end up like you. What all is needed to do the swap? Do you have part numbers by any chance? My bro works at a shop and could get the clutch, he just needs part numbers, also I need to know every part that should be invloved in the swap, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, etc etc?
Black 02'Z28, let us know how it holds up! What is all included in the kit? I need to find out everything needed and part numbers!

I have, and i've also read your posts saying that you were on a budget, so every dollar could help, especially around the holidays. Unless your not for saving a few bills, I could sure use the extra money.
