I wouldn't say shitty, but the pinion angle causes the higher drivetrain loss

isnt the 9" supposed to be able to take more power and avuse then a 12 bolt? i know the 9" are supposed to be good for over 1000+HP. i dont know what the 12 bolts can handle.

9 bolts are almost bullet proof. im sure they break but it isnt common, i know of some people with 2 bolts that have broken them. if you plan to beat the **** out of the car, 9 inch is safer IMO

I'd agree with WS6FirebirdTA00 except that lots of guys buy 12 bolts and beat the **** out of them too. ls1charged, I also hear the 9" is stronger...but I didnt care.

o yeah a 12 bolt is definately strong, there is just a better chance to break it, although it is still hard to do.

so if u plan to race your car all the time and your making a crap load of power it would be smarter to have the 9"? and lets say u daily drive your car but take it to the track every so often and throw some DR's on it but only making like 400-600, just get the 12bolt?
