If it's the camaro/mustang challenge,in 2008 there was slightly over 250 cars,weather was hot(90s') and sunny,in 2009,because of morning heavy rain,only 103 cars showed up.You never can tell how the event is gonna end up because of weather and people having other committments.

different topic: a 4.10 that was previously 3.42 has an increase of torque of 20% to the rear axles due to torque multiplication. A 3.42 with a 350 ft.lb engine,when 4.10 is used that 350 ft.lb. engine would feel like a 420 ft.lb. engine. depending upon how much boost that LT1 was at,low mph and mid mph they could be very similar but then the higher horse of a boosted LT1 would come into play at high mph.

nothing particular, just saying in general down the road if its a long way off...I like the dyno days because you can see/hear what these cars sound like instead of just looking at the outside of them like a car show.

At some point I plan to go to flat out days at beave run, which is a road course and you can open her up on a track instead of just a straight line. They also do drifting, autocross, and 4x4 off road stuff.

is the car tuned? wideband? how many psi?

If so, then I agree that it's probably still f'cked up.

To comment about my gear question...your 4.10 against his 3.23 is part of the reason that it's an even race.

Regarding the 4.10; a 4.10 is a smaller gear than a 3.42 of which will reduce HP to the rear wheels. Since torque & engine speed (RPM) are the two componenets of HP, then rear wheel torque is also reduced @ the same RPM. This is confirmed by every dyno comparison ever made between the two. The benefit of the 4.10 is in the ability of its' smaller diameter to accelerate to speed in less time (more quickly) than the larger gear (3.42); smaller diameter, less time per revolution. It is the reduced accel time that gives a 4.10 an advantage over the 3.42 even though the wheel power is reduced.

Yeah it's the same Camaro. And it's definately not still fkd up. I swear I said it's running good now. I also know my gear was the only reason I stood a chance. But my thoughts are that I still have tons of room to gain more power and he only has a couple little things he can do. We'll see what happens next time.

No its not messed up. But if its running like it should, he should pull u quite nicely

Agreed, you have room for more, but, we can only speculate about the LT1. Saw where you said that the LT1 is good now, but, the only information we have is that it was an even race. He should have beaten you even w/you on 4.10's. That's why the speculation about the condition of his set up. Wasn't trying to question your comment regarding the condition of the LT1. It's just that the outcome should have been different unless he's running 2 psi ish. There's just not enough information for us to be able to answer your original question.

correct, thts why i asked, if he had a wide band and what psi he was at, that should tell the story. lol

when my TA was just boltons i beat my friend's turbo a4 Lt1...stock besides sts rearmount, injectors, and tune. he was running about 4psi and trapped 108mph in the quarter.
