A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Figure around a grand to get the trans. rebuilt, and add that to what u would pay for the car. Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal as the V6's go for that and more.

I wouldn't give more than 2K for an LT1 with a Trans issue..Thats if it is otherwise in good shape.

All the problems that the lt1's are prone to, the biggest one being the opti spark. I had a 3.8 fireturd, only thing I ever had to do was put brakes on it. It had plenty of power and the gas mileage was good.
