Well the trans and old clutch are out of the car. Just need to put the new one in. The clutch says LUK on it. Are these the stock ones? Its been replaced once before from the looks of someone banging around in there to get the bell housing off with out using a swivel.

Thanks for the tips Nasty on getting the trans down. However going back up I can't seeing it be as easy. I would have to set up the blocks and jack. Lift the trans on the jack then balance it while pumping the jack. I might just get a friend to help then. or a trans jack.

So I found a rearend I'm suppose to buy this weekend, but someone just offered me a Ford 8.8 rearend modified to fit an f-body, hasn't been installed since it was rebuilt, new gears, posi unit, and two sets of axles, he wants 400 bucks for it. What do you all think?

More info on 8.8 rearend: 0 miles, sold car before he could install. 3.73 gears, 28 spline axles, gm tubes, all welded together in a jig, no brakes. Says it will bolt right in w/ no problems. Torque arm mount welded on.
It's either this one or the stock 10 bolt with richmond 4.10 gears and new auburn posi. All opinions would be greatly appreciated as I'm doing the rearend this weekend, so which one to buy is killing me. They are both the same price.

Everyone must be out enjoying the nice ass weather. Felt really good to have the t-tops off today. Put my new LCA's on too, definately notice a difference. But I'm still in the clouds on which rearend to go with. I know the 8.8 sounds better, but a little nervous about it being fabbed up correctly and how well it's going to fit. I have pics of it, but not sure how to post them.
