Good old Holden 308 V8, LE coupe, 1976
Been over ten years since I got it running, My first car, love a good 308, even stock they sound tough. Has a mild cam and electric Dizzy fitted, been tearing my hair out for years sorting the ignition grimlen, today I started from scratch and redid it all, plus the Carby, primed it and it fired straight up, Needs a good tune, but will worry about that once its all plumbed up.

Bit of a clean out so was able to take a pic of the old girl before it goes to another shed were I have room to do decent work on it and finish the paint.

Yes, they no longer make them pitty as they sounded tough stock, there firing order is what made it sound like that, deep and throaty aswell. They went EFI, and called them a 5 litre/304 up to 2000, then the LS1 replaced it.
At the time of this car there were 2 aussie v8 options, the 253 and 308, the 350 chev was an option. This particular vehicle model was only available with a 308 and turbo 400.
