Default Holden/GTO specific bolt on mods?

I posted a few monts ago and got no response. Before the year is out, I will have a '04 GTO. It will be modded <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Are there any shops that sell parts for the Holden like headers, intake, catback, ect.? I imagine the GTO will be able to use the same stuff. Anyone?

I'll bet alot of stuff, like headers, won't fit the US version because our steering wheel is on the opposite site and headers have to clear the steering shaft. I wonder if anything else under the hood is rearranged opposite.

The good thing is that all of our internal LS1 modifications will be the same <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

tony you are right, the headers won't fit. we tried to order a set for a friend of mine and the header company said that it won't fit.

from what i have seen , the firs mod to do is change the intake tube. it resembles an intake on an lt1 car and breathes through a gap around the headlight.

another thing i noticed is a slight rear end dive upon acceleration, so keep on the look out for suspension mods to help the traction department.

That's the nice thing about having a big cube motor. You can just take it with you when you get rid whatever vehicle it was in.(suitcase motor) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> This is assuming you buy another vehicle with a LS1 variant. The GTO is looking like that vehicle. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Doh, I didn't think about the steering shaft. I bet the first shop to make headers will charge like $1500 lol

Squat is just waisting time/energy getting power to the tyres.

exactly what v8 ute said!

you actually would want "unsquat" or lift upon accel. that way the rear tires get "pushed" or planted into the ground for more traction.

We should ask some of our fellow guys on this board who have them over there. Chevy sells the cars over there. Not sure if the coupe (Monaro) is sold over there, but they do sell the 4-door (called a Lumina, yeah, not our Lumina). Take care.

Oh and it wont be $1500 for the headers either.

From the engine compartment pics I see, it looks like a magnacharger will fit in there quite nicely. Hood clearance tho? I don't like the hood anyway VFN should be able to do a fiberglass hood in no time flat
Barry you'll probably charge 1200 for the headers+300 for the ypipe J/K

What about tuning?

Magnacharger and headers and a nice catback.. that would be the perfect package on that car.

Not as easy with LS1EDIT, as i spoke to Peter Starr about the installation you need to install there programmed PCM on exchanged basis, which has been calibrated correctly, also the car run a 2 bar map sensor, which LS1EDIT can't see, to tune correctly.
