wow, i really enjoyed looking through all 6 pages of these australian cars... VERY interesting, and it seems like holden has a million different models they make!!! every picture seems like a different car! lol
i wonder why nobody imports these from aus. like people do japanese cars, i would love to cruise around in one of those "ute" style vehicles, lol that would be a trip

Here are some pics of my 2000 HSV Senator. The Senator is the highest luxury model that HSV sells in the short wheel base variant. Mine is very rare in that it run a 6 speed T56. But is optioned with GTS suspension which is the highest of the sports models. The only modifications to mine are the Intake. And an EFI LIVE Dual Table MAFLESS tune. It has about 430HP

That intake is a ram air style intake that gains about 30hp over the very restrictive standard airbox. They are a very popular mod ever here. But can be quite pricey at around $600AU
When the car goes to the drags the filter comes out. And its good for a mid 12 sec pass.

Thanks champ but the ebay items just aren't quite what i am looking for. Although having said that, metalflake black is probably not a bad compromise i guess!!
I was hoping to find a site in the US that specialises in aftermarket dress up bits for our Monaro's over there????
Hopefully a pic of my VY Senator has attached to this thread so you can see?!?!? If not i have posted pics of it on the HSV Forum....

Can you guys get me some more pics of that intake thing? It looks like it might fit great on my truck with my hood. Perhaps off of the vehicle and the underside? even with a tape measure placed on it will help. It can even be in metric as I am able to speak metric.

here you go buddy. I've applied heat shield tape to the bottom of mine to reduce the inherent heat soak you get with these things upon restarting the car. Not to sure if it will fit on your truck as you can see where it dips in to get over the radiator. Have a look at a GTO to see if the clearance is similar
