No offense to anybody, but I like the SS a lot. I also like the GTO we got here a lot before they riced it out with the scoops and crappy new taillights.
That Senator just isn't doing it for me.

I dunno man the American car market is so different to the rest of the world. What the rest of the world thinks is cool we don't and vise-versa. I personally love those 4 door Commodores, Pickup Trucks and Wagons but Americans don't. That's why the GTO never did well here. I guess a big'ol honking hood scoop on your 2 door car with cheap *** plastic interior that looks like it came from a Cavalier is what makes a muscle car cool!

I love the cars they have done there. Pretty much everything has an LSX option if I'm right. They still have an El Camino (Ute) and Lumina SS's are pretty sweet. The new Commodore are just absolutely the stuff would die to have one of those imported over here. Nice cars guys weird seeing the gas tank on the passenger side of a big LSX car though. All part of the RHD setting I guess. Do your guys small cars have the tank on the left? Just wondering

You're both right... I think Rhoop isn't realizing the driver side is on the right over there
It is weird having the gas door of the GTO on the right (passenger side in America) side but I guess that's one thing they saw pointless (and rightly so) to convert...

Gas tank fill point differs between manufactures here Ford has it on the left Holden has it on the right.
I looked up the cadillac catera. And from what I can tell it was basically a bastardised version of the Opel Omega. Sharing the platform with our Commodores but not much else.
I think when the G8 lands you guys will get a nice surprise on what our car industry turns out. The G8 is comparable to our SSV Commodore. Perhaps in time GM will broaden its importing to include our Premium HSV's. I'd love to see a GTS over in the US carving up the American performance cars. I can see the reviews now.. "It has 4 doors and it handles.. OMG does it handle"
