LS FEST wrap up thread, 2015.
Hey guys.... now that I've had some time to recover, let's post up some pics from LS FEST and relive some stories and good times.
For me, it wasn't about my car... I am over 800 miles away, and as much as I wanted to drive my car there, I couldn't get a co-pilot, so I flew into Indy, met up with friends, and rode down with them on Friday morning.
I met so many people, some for the first time, others who I've know for a long time and finally put a face to a name. It was such a good time.
I felt like a politician, walking around, handing out LS1tech stickers, free general admission passes, and connecting with a lot of people.
So go ahead guys, post up some stories, and pics, and let me know if we met and chatted, because for some reason, I can't remember half the people I talked to.

I had a great time there again and was glad to have my car down there this year even though I didn't race it was still fun to cruise around and talk at the meet ups. You gave me a sticker when ole boy was crying about the sticker on lsx ****** jeep. I was standing right in front of the jeep with a grey and orange hoodie on. II never seen som get upset about a sticker and it wasn't even his lol

Well we had a great time at Holly Fest. I got to watch Rick, Pete, and Jimbo scream down the track several times. Pete saved the day with a Tent to shade that hot asphalt. That Fest is too big to watch every thing in 2 days. That was more fun than the Gator Nationals.
Auto-x and drifting events were good too

Nothing like a rear-reverse mounted LS Motor

I didn't want issues, so I tried to blow it off in good fun. If memory serves me, the owner came over and said it was cool... and all was fine after that.
I did receive some text messages with pictures of ls1tech decals on items other than LS powered cars. There may or may not be a picture of an ls1tech decal on a certain police car.

I've been every year but only competed three of them. This is was my first year for my wagon. I really wanted to spray it but only ran it on motor due to fuel pump problems. Decided to drive it all the way back home instead of trailering it

Yeah I couldn't believe how that dude was acting and the sticker looked like it belonged there. Lol im glad they police wanted to fit in too with there ls1tech sticker.
That wagon is awesome, I never did get a chance to check it out up close, like everybody says, so much stuff packed into so little time.

made it in saturday with my father in law and a buddy of ours. second year ive been and it seemed much bigger this year than last. Didnt really meet up with anyone here I dont remember seeing the ls1tech banner like I did last year either.
spend most of our time in the vendor area anyway. since he had to pick up a tranny from one of them we ended up backing up to the circle track for the drift part. The guy in that c6 was a mad man! Bout froze to death during that too we ended up going and buying sweatshirts from ridetech haha. I think we left about the time they were announcing who won the singles drifting. Did they even do the doubles this year?

My participation in LS Fest 2015 was over by noon on Friday. On my first test pass i ruptured a methanol injection line, resulting in a lean & hot charge. I lifted the driver's side head gasket and torched the cylinder head deck from #3 combustion chamber into the water jacket. We tore it down (in the rain) but our weekend was finished once we spotted the head damage. I plan to drop the head off today for weld repair.
I would fire my tuner - but then the driver & builder, owner, and financial backer would also be fired. This is my first engine failure in 4 years, so it's not a bad run but just sucks to happen on the first pass of a long weekend.
I did get to eat dinner Friday night with some of you. Spoke briefly with The Alchemist...
