I have two buddies going this year, I am hoping to have my new transmission by then so I can go too. IDK if I am going to be able to afford it by then though so that may be a kick in the chops.

if ur only doin a day u have a couple options. one is to be a pure spectator which is free and u park with the general public. there is also a single day powertour pass that i think is around 20. it allows u to park in the PT parking, and i think u get a goodie bag and the crap from the sponsors

I go on the tour every year and have never made one hotel reservation yet. I always find a hotel at a good rate and just wing it. If you plan too much you end up spoiling the whole thing. It is a road trip with 5000 other hot rodders. Anyway it works fine for me and I plan on keeping on doing it that way.

i wouldn't count on E85 too much, id check the route and plan ahead ur gas stops. many parts of the tour are typically backroads and rural areas, or at least they attempt to.
