v8 lover, but i drive turbo 4 banger
Hey all names JC.
was born and raised chevy, but i've always got my kicks out of build 4 bangers.
currently driving 91 nissan 240sx with mostly stock sr. my lil ricer drift mobile.
but i've joined b/c i really wanna build ls1/ls2 to throw in my car. mostly because i want reliable 400whp car. something i can drive every day and not worry much about it. Not to mention i love trq, which turbo 4 cyl always lack.
mostly coming to look for proper tips on how to build the motor i want. it's gonna be a long term build. Since i'm, in college and have no job. I blow most of my money going to track events and drifting.
but i'm looking to build 400whp lsx that can rev to about 8k rpms.... no real reason for it rev that high, just want to. Must be the ricer in side of me.
i'll try to post up a small build list that i have going so far. Hopefully i will learn all i need to know and more, and build a pretty beastly set up.

nice car, friend of mine has that body sr20 swapped but all jdm front clip and ****.. looks like a japanese silvai just not rhd. but about the ls1, well i'll tell you from what i've read on here, 90% of the people will tell you 8k rpm is #1 not necessary, and #2 most likely out of your budget. just look around, swaps into ur car are not uncommon.
