My 69' FJ40 with 5.3 power I got a lot of info from this site while I was swapping to a 5.3. Thanks to all. Now that it is in, I would like to get the HP tuners program and tone this thing down a little. I pulled a wheelie the first time I hit the gas. Nothing like the 230 I6 that was in it when I bought it. It already had the 700r4 that I kept mated to the original 3spd t-case. I'm not in it for speed, but it is there for sure. I read alot on the LS series engines and decided that was the rout I wanted to go. This is the first real swap that I've done and learned a lot from it. Took about 2 1/2 months of after work and weekends to do it. Now I can relax a little and start buttoning everything up.
