welcome to the 8 cylinder darkside theres more info here than you could ever need. make sure you check out the classifieds for motots, they pop up all the time, especially the truck motors (those get real cheap). what are you building the motor for? stock, boost, high n/a?

i really just want to put an ls motor in a 240 and keep it stock probly. im so over the boost sceene. from what ive seen it will be more than enough power to drift on wich is why i want to build it. and i want that reliability and the lightwieght aluminum block. any suggestions on motors? i was thinking ls1

jeez i just want a zr1 so bad though. ha.

You came to the right place. There are guys on this site that know everything, no joke.

And every one of them, at one point in time, knew less about LS1 engines then you know right now.

There's lots of good material here you can study. Get at it, and good luck.
