New from Indy and finishing up my 403
Hey all. ive been lurking around here and picking up info here and there, but decided to finally join
i bought my 06 M6 GTO in January 09 and have spent most of my time on LS1GTO. last year the extent of my mods were spoiler delete and a vararam. ended up going 12.950 @ 109.93 with just the vararam.
this past fall i started gathering parts for a L92/cam setup. when it came down to checking P2V clearance, i didnt have enough to mill the heads to get back stock compression unless i eyebrowed the pistons or replaced them. i chose the latter, and i sure wasnt going to pull the engine and put it back together as a 364! fortunately, my dad works at a shop and has the knowledge, ability, resources, and tools to make this all happen. hoping to have it running again in the next 2 weeks.
the list:
Forged and balanced 403 stroker
-Ohio crankshaft
-Ohio crank h-beam rods
-SRP 4.005" pistons
-ARP rod bolts
L92 heads by LandSpeed Development
-ported (343/235 @ .600)
-milled .042 (static comp with .051 gaskets = 11.25:1)
-hollowstem LS3 intake valves
LS3 intake manifold ported by LandSpeed
stock LS2 TB ported by LandSpeed
Comp cam (234/242 .598/.593 114)
-hex-adjust timing set
-LS7 lifters
-Manley hardened 7.350 pushrods
-Stock GM L92 rockers
-Comp 918s, tool steel retainers, and machined valve locks
Kooks 1 7/8" headers, jet-hot coated, catless mids
Monster level 3, lightweight flywheel, and braided clutch line
Vararam
LS3 injectors
SLP UD crank pulley
