New from SE Tennessee Been lurking here for a while now, but decided to introduce myself. I'm from Dayton, TN, a small town north of Chattanooga. I don't own any LS1-powered vehicles at the moment, but would like to get my hands on a Pontiac G8 GT for a daily driver. I'm a photographer and writer, and enjoy working on cars. My personal project is a '64 Corvette, and I'm building a '67 Camaro for my wife. Neither have LS1's, unfortunately.
Welcome to the site....Dayton seems like a cool little town, I live in Murfreesboro, but I used to deliver to the 84 Lumber and Potters when I drove a truck.....There were alot of pretty southern belles running around there, a few with no teeth, but several I seen were pretty hot....Good luck finding a G8, should be able to get all kinds of info on them from the folks on this site

Man, that's a good-lookin C-10 you have there. Dayton's a pretty cool place to live, but really, I wouldn't know the difference because I've lived here my whole life. I know one thing--I'm ready for this snow to go away...either that, or I'm ready for a four-wheel drive truck to magically appear in my driveway so I can get around in this stuff.
i wish this c10 was mine, it's just a pic i found, but i hope to build one exactly like it one day soon.....i've always been crazy about those late 60's early 70's trucks, but i gotta finish going crazy with my camaro first

jc98ss--Ever heard of Mark Turner? He's from your neck of the woods and is always working on a C-10 or two. He builds a nice piece.
kcs02ta--The '64 is up and running--been driving it to local shows for the past couple of years. It has a 350 with Dart Pro1 aluminum heads, mild hydraulic cam, single four-barrel carb. It has a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed, 4.11 gears. The car weighs 2,760 without me in it, so it gets around pretty good. Pretty much all it needs at this point is a paint job, and a quick resto in the interior (carpet, seat covers).

I go to lots of local shows and cruise ins, but don't drive the car as much as I should. I'm a photographer, so most of the time when I go to shows, I'm there to work, so I generally drive something dependable, hah. I know a few guys from the Ten Mile area...Ernie and Matt Lankford, Tim Dixon.
