Default Kansas Drag Racer

What up everyone? I currently race a 81 Camaro Z28 with a Gen I 383. I am not real familiar with the LS motor but I recently picked up a LQ9 block for a 94 Camaro project I am going to be working on over the next year. I am hoping to gain some good knowledge about LS motor and some tricks to really get some power out of them.

I am planning on building a 9.50's or faster motor with the LQ9 block and a little nitrous. Hope you guys can help me out with my hopes for this motor.

Welcome to the site......I used to have an lq9 in a silverado SS that I dry
shot w/.062 jet. Made a few bucks w/5500 lb truck, but to go 9.5 will take
some forged internals for spray at least. Seems a new popular and cheap way
to run mid nines is a borg-warner s475 or 480 turbo on a stock lq9
the only thing people are changing is to ls6 cam/springs and big injectors
to run E85(no intercooler).....easy 900 horse @ 15lbs boost on GM rotating
assembly/heads good luck to you sir !!!
