New member with a Mach 1 in FLORIDA Whats up!!!
Yea I do have a Mach but hope to soon sell it and pick up another car that is much faster.Im not new to F-bodys started out with the "slow" 3rd gens and stopped with the last one being a 02 trans am.Ive had many mustangs from old school 60's to fox bodys,new edge and a S-197.I am on a SVT site but its got alot of

I hope to learn about the LS1,LS2,LS6 and the LSX mods because I want to be a TRANS Am owner again

I like the Mach but it really is out gunned on todays streets even fully built in N/A form its maxed around 400 crank horsepower.My car is almost stock and does OK starting out against a T/A or camaro but just gets run down on the top end.

have to agree, thats why I have a 93 coupe with a LS1 motor, yep my Ford friends hate it, yep I could have built a 351 carb to make that hp but at expense of gas mileage and driveabilty or a 302 with H/C/I and with the expense of a supercharger or a turbocharger. My LS1 is cam only, headers, 3200 conv, 3:73's gears and has cold a/c and p/s. gets 23-25 on highway and runs 7:40's on 235/60/15's drag radials. that should put it somewhere solidly in the 11's.

I am not really brand loyal. I had an 06 Mustang that I totaled at the strip. I was looking at both a Mach 1 and 04-06 GTO. The GTO won. Looks are subjective. Interior goes to the GTO. Performance goes to the GTOs and the GTO makes a better d/d. The aftermarket support does seem to be better for the mustang.
