Welcome from a fellow HO Z owner! I've always wanted one and purchased mine last year and have never looked back. I've put a ton of money into mine but it's just what a possessed F-body owner does!

The shifter was already on the car. An older gentleman owned it and he must of wanted something that reminded him of his golry days in the 60s/70s is my guess

i think hurst sells them also you can get cutom ones that say ss z28 ws6 etc etc.

I think it needs to be on a short throw shifter. I think it is kinda cool

ya hurst makes a short throw kit and you can get a shifter handle like you got in orange and z28 on the side. it would look good.
