Car fell in my lap! Hi everybody,
just wanted to say thanks! I had my bike ('08 R1) up for sale & yesterday someone offered me an even trade for an '01 Trans Am WS6 with 70k on it. I couldn't pass that deal up right? I paid $8k for the bike in May so with depreciation I'd say I got the car for $7,500.
The only problem is as I drove it away & the clutch started to go soft on me & by the time I was home it was completely dead. Fearing that someone got the better of me I started doing my research on here. It looked like the master cylinder sprung a leak so with all the how-to's & video links on here I was able to fix it today for $65. I would have never been able fix it without the info on forum so again THANKS!!!
ps I did do the drill mod based on everyone's recommendation too!

awesome man, congratulations! Without the help of people on this board, I would probably still have a V6 in my car. Beware, they have a knack for getting you to spend $$$ by posting pictures of their shiney new parts

I'll work on getting pics later today. Its Black with Black Leather interior & it is in great condition, one minor rock chip on a headlight cover is all.
Now I've been spending all morning looking at my potential mod list....so so so many options aren't there?!

VERY NICE, similar to what happened to me, had a shitty running DD neon some dumbass offered me a 08 gsxr 600 for it, traded him sold the bike and bought my car. within 2 weeks i went from a neon about to blow up to a sweet *** fbody...

Ok, here are pics, finally!
Now in my initial inspections on it, I hooked the code reader up since the SES light is on & its throwing 2 codes: P0410 & P0420
Trying to do my research on here & for the P0410 code, it sounds like there is something wrong with the air pump, & associated check valves, maybe the MAF....I'll try to look into it this weekend. Anybody have any additional info for me or recommendations on what else to check?
