been doing parts for cars since '92, tinkered, minor repairs, not a mechanic by trade, but i know a wrench from a flashlight...
, anyways, i drive a '00 Sierra SLT and the 5.3 is OK, but,found major fluid leaks after towing a 6x12 enclosed trailer this past may, so its time to either chase the leak, or, swap out since its close to 190k. found someone selling an LS1 on CL here locally for a steal, not too familiar with casting #s, could one of you point me to a thread with what to look for to verify its identity? TIA
