Choppersled

Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this. I have the opportunity (rather limited) to purchase a vehicle I can't find a great deal of info on. I have an aquaintence that has a 2001 TA vert, 6sp, NHRA car. From the little I can find out about it, it may have been wrecked, but upon inspection seems to be a good repair. It is red with a black top, black leather, all options (all work) and 88k miles. It can be purchased for around 10k. I'm just trying to decide if I need to jump on it or if this is about going rate. It seems to be a rare car so I'm trying to figure if it would be a good investment. Sorry for the rush, just trying to make the best decision possible in a short period of time.
